Who Would You Be?

Thursday, 17 March 2011

I'm intrigued by Reorbit magazine, who have recently gone live. They're kind of another Twitter Fiction magazine but they describe themselves as "an experiment in social media theatre". Their idea is to let writers pick a character - either historical or fictional - and then write daily tweets as if from them. I see, for example, that "Arthur Miller", "Keith Moon" and "Sylvia Plath" are already contributors.

My head says I've got plenty of writing to be getting on with already, thanks, but I'm still tempted. Hmmm. Who would I pick? Sauron the Dark Lord commenting on the day's news? The Adventures of Conan the Barbarian in 21st Century Britain?

Who would you pick?

  1. Now that's a tough question. I would have to choose someone fictional, but who? Let me think on it a while and I'll get back to you!

  2. Tigger from Winnie the Pooh! I'd be most annoying with my cheerfulness! Take care

  3. Old Kitty,

Yes, I could really see that working. Are you going to sign up?

  4. I'd be Cthulu, or Sebastian Flyte. Eeek, I'm revealing something. Goodness knows what.

Looks fascinating, but I don't know if I could do it justice.

  5. Hmmm . . . I'll have to think about this! There are so many possibilities.

  6. Golden Eagle,

I know! Could be fun though ...

  7. A very cool idea. Hmmmmm... I'd definitely have to be the Sicilian from The Princess Bride.

  8. OOOoooo, what an awesome idea....I'm going to have to give this some consideration. If nothing else, it's great practice!

  9. Milo,

Nice choice. You'd do that very well!

    Words Crafter,

Let us know what you decide - I'd be intrigued to see what you come up with.

I'd love to know what you think.
