My latest piece from the Seven Deadly Sins anthology is published today - this one is called, imaginatively enough, The Seven Deadly Sins. It's a rather different take on the subject, basically inspired by playing around with the words of the anthology title...




Aidang Xan Sin slipped the thin throwing knife from inside his sleeve and sent it flashing towards his youngest son’s left eye. The blade was honed to a fine point, but it was the toxin coating it that would do the real damage. Paralysis and death within fifteen seconds were inevitable.

Maidan Sin, his son, stood two metres away across the training room. He had only a moment to react. He swept a hand in front of his face, catching the knife by its handle when it was only a centimetre from his eye...
